Kyon enters highschool as a primary year student and meets a wierd woman by the name of Haruhi Suzumiya. throughout her category introduction, she states that she has no time for traditional humans and asks that any time-travelers, aliens, or espers pop out and be part of her. fascinated by her, Kyon becomes the primary person to solicit a traditional oral communication from Haruhi. This leads Kyon and Haruhi to make the SOS Brigade. They recruit the soft Yuki Nagato and also the timid Mikuru Asahina.
